  • M.G., NESTOR

is a visual explorer, born in Mallorca, grew up in Barcelona and now based in Berlin.
Currently, his work is concentrated on finding visual paradoxes related to language and its signs. Experimenting with historic systems of visual distinctions, like tribal patterns, he distorts them into a subversion of themselves.
Using the most primitive forms of the human expression and visual communication as a reference, he is trying to materialise thoughts about ancestral unknowns  – the meaning of life, the notion of time, death and the most daily signs. This material transformation of language and sign has been a visual problem that is carried from stone age cave paintings to the digitalised 21st century and it’s emojis.

Correlating these similar practices and images, are a focus in Nestor’s approach, to combine, to ask, to tell, and, in the end, to know himself better.
